The monumental work weighting several tons belongs to the category of public space/contemporary art. The modern nativity scene made of steel is architectonically based on the classic representation of the three Magi. The minimalist concept of the statues brings forward the essence of the strong story. Although welding was used, the welds are not visible. Technically and artistically, it is a unique act of expressing clean and sharp line in three-dimensionality. The line of individual characters corresponds with the movement unity – they are a continuation of each other. The natural rust is a currently popular “colour” concept and symbolizes brown earth. Saint Mary and Joseph have a gold plated halo, the Baby Jesus also shines with gold – gold in contrast to the earthy brown is a reminder of eternity and the spiritual scope. The sculptures can be found in a collection of contemporary art in Brixen in the north of Italy. In the course of the year, they are installed in gardens and vineyards and in the Advent season they are transferred to the main square using heavy equipment.
